Earl pleaded guilty to burglarizing a home in the 2500 block of J Street on December 4, 2014, and stealing a PlayStation 3 and five video games.

A hat belonging to Earl was also found inside the home. The woman told police she suspected Earl committed the crime. The two had been living at the home, but she had kicked him and another woman Patricia Horton out of the home, two days before the burglary.

Earl admitted that he and another man Jesse Burton and Horton had been at the home on Dec. 4. He told police he stayed outside while Burton and Horton broke into the home

Burton told police that Earl was the one that removed the screws from a window and climbed into the home and opened the door for Burton and Horton.

Horton told police she knew nothing about the burglary.

After the burglary, all three went to a Bloomington pawn shop to sell the gaming system. According to store records Horton pawned the console.

All three were arrested on a felony burglary charge and a misdemeanor theft charge.

Horton pleaded guilty to theft on July 23, and the burglary charge was dismissed.
