(BEDFORD) - The Walking Warriors Relay for Life team from Bedford Walmart recently received a 2015 Team Excellence award from the American Cancer Society for raising over $10,000 this year toward finding a cure for cancer.
Team member Sharon Brock is a cancer survivor and is very passionate about raising money for research. Since 2010, the Walking Warriors have raised over $73,750 for the American Cancer Society.

2016 Relay For Life
The 2016 Relay for Life season is gearing up to be a great one for Lawrence County with several events planned including the annual Survivor Dinner, Relay for Life and Bark for Life.
New for 2016 is a 5K race that is tentatively planned for March.
