Last updated on Monday, November 23, 2015

(BROWNSTOWN) - When two women applied to be reserve officers for the Brownstown Police Department, they had no idea they were making history.

34-year-old Danielle Shuler, was sworn in November 2 during a Brownstown Town Council meeting, and 25-year-old Brooke Davidson went through that process last Monday.

Town officials say these two women are the first to serve with the department.
