Three People Injured In Head-On Collision On State Road 54

(SWITZ CITY) - Three people were injured in a head-on collision on State Road 54, west of State Road 67 near County Road 100 North near Switz City, just before 5 p.m. Tuesday.

According to a Greene County Sheriff's report, 21-year-old Christopher Wilhite of Bloomfield was driving a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire east on State Road 54 when Wilhite crossed the centerline and collided with a westbound 2012 Ford Escape driven by 52-year-old Robin Baker, also from Bloomfield.

Wilhite was taken by ambulance to the Greene County Hospital and then flown by medical helicopter to another hospital for treatment.

Baker and her passenger 57-year-old Janice Emery, also of Bloomfield, were injured and were taken to the Greene County Hospital for treatment.

Assisting at the scene was the Greene County Ambulance Service, Switz City Fire Department, Indiana State Police and Greene County Rescue.
