(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teen was injured after she lost control of the vehicle she was driving on the wet roadways Tuesday morning.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 17-year-old Anna Coakley was traveling west on Vinegar Hill Road, east of Old Buddha Road, when she began applying the brakes of the 2003 GM Envoy she was driving while entering a curve. The vehicle began sliding on the wet roadways, ran off the south side of the road and struck a tree.

Coakley complained of stomach pain following the incident.

An IU Health Hospital ambulance, Shawswick Volunteer Fire Department first responders and Bedford Police assisted at the scene.
