(SHOALS) - The Martin County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Shoals man after they stopped him for a traffic violation on Monday.
According to police, at approximately 10:35 p.m., Chief Deputy Josh Greene stopped 18-year-old Caleb Truelove at the intersection of State Road 550 and Lacy Road.
Chief Deputy Greene requested the assistance of Corporal Damon Baker and his canine partner, Virka.
Virka alerted police to possible narcotics in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle police found marijuana in a baggie in a tan backpack inside the vehicle.
Truelove was arrested on a Class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana.
