(MITCHELL) - Shannon Lagel is the new Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce secretary.
"As many of you are aware, the chamber has been in a transition period since mid-September when Ginny McMinds Knight opted to retire as our secretary after many years of dedicated service to our organization," Chamber President Krystal Shelter wrote in an email. "We thank each of you (chamber members) for your patience during this time."
Shannon, who is married to David Lagle, is a long-time resident of Mitchell. The couple has two children, Gavin and Olivia. Shannon comes to the chamber with many years of secretarial and business experience.
Shannon began her duties with the chamber on Monday. She will maintain office hours on Thursdays and Fridays, but she will always be available by email at mitchellchamber@frontier.com or by calling the Chamber at (812) 849-2221.
