Earlier: The Jasonville Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a 17-year-old Shakamak student.

The missing girl is Elizabeth R. Ogden. She goes by "Beth."

According to Jasonville Police Chief Jim Gadberry, she left her mother's home on foot Tuesday for school, but she never made it to school.

Ogden is 5' 2" tall and weighs approximately 170 lbs. She has a red/blonde tint to her hair, brown eyes and she wears glasses.

She was last seen wearing black pants and a green shirt.

"At this time we have no reason to suspect foul play," says Gadberry. "We are treating her as a runaway."
