(UNDATED) - Work on the Interstate 69 extension continues to move north from Bloomington to Martinsville.
Much of the work on the 21-mile section involves upgrades and repairs to the existing 4-lane State Road 37 that I-69 will follow.
INDOT spokesman Will Wingfield tells the Bloomington Herald Times that the section of highway is still on schedule to be completed by the end of next year.
A 27-mile section from near the Crane Naval Surface Warfare Center into Bloomington is expected to open late this year.
