(GUTHRIE) - A Mitchell woman was injured Tuesday night after the vehicle she was riding in crashed into a concrete culvert.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 22-year-old Jonathan Owens of Tennessee was traveling northwest on River Road when his 1988 Ford F-150 ran off the right side of the road and struck a concrete culvert.
Owens was not injured, but his passenger, 23-year-old Miranda Houston of Mitchell, complained of pain to her left arm and suffered a laceration on her left knee. She was taken by private vehicle to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
Assisting at the scene was a Seals ambulance crew and first responders from the Guthrie Volunteer Fire Department.
