(BEDFORD) - The community is invited to participate in the planning of next year’s Lawrence County Bicentennial celebration.
The State of Indiana will mark its 200th birthday December 11, 2016.
The committee will commemorate Indiana's Bicentennial by leading a countywide grass-root effort, giving citizens the opportunity to celebrate history and commemorate the bicentennial in a way that's meaningful to everyone.
Those wanting information or to be involved can attend a meeting today at 4 p.m. at Bedford Chamber of Commerce.
The Bedford Chamber has Lawrence County Bicentennial commemorative coins on sale for $10 each and also some t-shirts. To purchase 2016 Lawrence County Bicentennial merchandise you can also visit www.fourseasonsports.net.
