(BEDFORD) - James Avenue will be closed at 16th Street tonight and Wednesday night so crews can install a sewer line.
The street will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 8 a.m. Wednesday and from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 8 a.m. Thursday.
The work is part of a larger project that will extend Plaza Drive south from 16th Street, turn west and connect with State Road 37. As part of that work, the Indiana Department of Transportation has mandated changes on 16th Street and James Avenue to relieve the stress of traffic between Plaza Drive and State Road 37, according to Bedford officials.
