Greene's Body Shop Donates Portable Breathalyzers To Martin County Sheriff's Department

Last updated on Friday, November 20, 2015

(LOOGOOTEE) - The Martin County Sheriff’s Department received three portable breathalyzers from local businessman, Adam Greene, owner of Greene’s Body Shop.

Martin County Capt. Tony Dant says the department is grateful for the generous donation.

Each breathalyzer cost about $375, saving the department more than $1,000.

"We appreciate our community patronizing our business and trusting us to repair their vehicles to keep their families safe," Greene says "We wanted to give back to the community in a way that helps keep our families and streets safer in our travels. As much as we like fixing cars, we don't like it when our customers are victims of an alcohol or drug related accident."

Adams contacted the Sheriff's Department to see how his business could help and learned the department needed the breathalyzers.

"We worked with the Sheriff's Office to find the best pricing," Adams added. "We are donating three of the instruments so that every vehicle has the ability to test alcohol levels."
