(DUBOIS) - A Dubois man was arrested after Dubois County sheriff deputies found him face down in a driveway Sunday.
Police were called to a home on Sycamore Street at 7:30 p.m. after a report of an unwanted man at the home.
When deputies arrived they found 44-year-old Kent Eric Krodel laying face down in a gravel driveway. Police soon determined that Krodel was intoxicated.
He was taken to Jasper Memorial Hospital for treatment of a nose injury he received when he fell in the driveway.
During a pat down, police found a 9-millimeter handgun. Krodel did not have a permit to carry the weapon.
Krodel is facing charges of possession of a handgun without a permit and public intoxication after a blood alcohol test at the hospital revealed a blood-alcohol level of .28 percent.
