Bloomington Woman Fondled While Walking In Dunn Woods

Last updated on Monday, November 16, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University Police are investigating an incident where a student alleges she was fondled in Dunn Woods early Friday morning.

According to IUPD Lt. Craig Munroe, the female student reported that she was grabbed after walking halfway into Dunn Woods.

Two IU Notify Alerts were issued early Friday morning alerting students about two college-aged males, one possibly armed with a knife, the other wearing a red sweatband on his right wrist. Munroe says the two males are likely between 18 and 14-year-old, about 5 foot 8 inches tall and stocky.

According to Munroe, the victim called a friend to give her a ride back to her dorm where she reported the incident to police. About an hour passed before the incident was reported.

IUPD currently has no suspects, but will be conducting interviews and reviewing camera footage in the surrounding area of the attack.

Munroe urged students to remain on lit paths when walking at night and that he didn't believe there was no reason to believe there was still an ongoing threat.
