Last updated on Monday, November 9, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Police arrested a couple after receiving an anonymous report Wednesday that a man was holding a handgun to a woman’s head at an apartment on the city’s north side.

However when police arrived to Park Place Apartments in the 2600 block of North Walnut Street the woman claimed there was no domestic fight and she had not been held at gunpoint.

But according to Bloomington Police Sgt. Joe Crider, officers found 257 grams of a green leafy substance that tested positive for marijuana, 166 grams of a substance believed to be synthetic marijuana, $4,000 in cash, a .22-caliber handgun with its serial number scratched off and a 9-mm handgun that was reported stolen from Lawrence County.

Police arrested 27-year-old Natasha Felton of Bloomington on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, dealing marijuana, possession of stolen property and obliterating a serial number on a gun.

She told police that the guns were hers and that Nathaniel C. Williams, a convicted felon, who lives with her also handled the weapons.

Police arrested 32-year-old Williams on charges of maintaining a common nuisance and possession of a handgun as a felon.
