(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield Town Council discussed the possible acquisition of the former Dugout Bar.
The property, located on 132 East Main Street, is owned by MK Landholdings LLC and is being used as an apartment complex.
The council was concerned because the building is being sold by an LLC and wanted to review the leases of those renting apartments.
Another issue is the recent large meth bust on the roof of the building. Town Marshal Kenny Tharp says the site was cleaned up, but urged officials to check into the status of the building before making a decision, because cleaning up a meth site can be expensive.
The council opted to further investigate the property before making any decision.
