Attorney General's Office Making It Easy To Freeze Your Credit

Last updated on Friday, November 20, 2015

(UNDATED) - The Indiana Attorney General’s office is making it easier to freeze your credit.

Greg Zoeller launched his office's "Freeze Identity Thieves" awareness campaign this week.

With the holiday shopping season here, Zoeller says every swipe of your cards increases the chances that your identity could be stolen.

Zoeller says Indiana had more than 1,000 identity theft complaints this year with 400 reported data breaches.

Credit freezes take mere minutes and Zoeller says more information is available at IndianaConsumer.com/idtheft.
