Aaron Ritter Named North Lawrence School Director Of Curriculum

(BEDFORD) - Shawswick Elementary Principal Aaron Ritter will replace retiring Mark Vice as director of learning, instruction and curriculum assessment.

The North Lawrence School Board approved the change during their special meeting Wednesday.

Ritter, 34, is a 2000 graduate from Bedford North Lawrence High School and has more than eight years of teaching experience. He was teaching language arts at Bedford Middle School before becoming principal at Shawswick Elementary in June 2012

Ritter will continue to service as Shawswick Elementary principal and co-principal at Heltonville Elementary School, a job he shares with Shawswick Middle School Principal Jim Pentzer.

Among many other responsibilities, his new job will include developing curriculum, assessing standardized test results and training North Lawrence staff members.

Ritter will begin working with Vice on November 30 during the transition period.
