(SEYMOUR) - One of two Shelby County residents arrested in February near Seymour for dealing in methamphetamine more than 10 grams has been sentenced to 23 years in prison.
46-year-old Veronica Sue Keller of Shelbyville received that sentence after pleading guilty to the Level 2 felony offense in Jackson Circuit Court.
Jackson Circuit Judge Richard W. Poynter's order will allow her to serve the final three years of her sentence on home detention if the first 20 years are served without violation of Indiana Department of Correction rules.
The incident that led to Keller's arrest February 12 began when state police used an informant to conduct a controlled buy from her and her boyfriend, 37-year-old Lee Supinger of Shelbyville in the Dudleytown area.
Supinger is scheduled to stand trial at 8:30 a.m. November 10.
During the arrests, police seized a plastic bag containing crystal meth.
