Vectren Reminds Customers To Check Furnaces

Last updated on Tuesday, October 20, 2015

(UNDATED) - As colder weather draws near, Vectren Energy reminds its customers that it is important to check their furnaces before turning them on for the winter.

Vectren Spokesman Brad Ellsworth says homeowners should have a qualified heating contractor perform a regular maintenance check in order to ensure it is working properly.

He says an annual tune-up can extend the life of your furnace and save 3 to 10 percent on heating costs. Ellsworth says that Vectren also offers rebates towards the purchase of a new furnace if one is needed.

A list of qualifying appliances and rebate forms are available at vectren.com.

Additional rebates are available, including those for insulation and duct sealing, boilers and programmable WiFi thermostats.
