(PEKIN) - Two Pekin men were arrested on two separate traffic stops.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies arrested 46-year-old Danny Wall and 32-year-old Mathhew Schaffer, both of Pekin, on drug charges.

Walls was stopped on October 6. Officers discovered he was wanted on a warrant for contempt of court.

According to Sheriff Roger Newlon, officers discovered enough evidence to request a search warrant for Wall's home.

Walls is now facing a charge of possession of a synthetic drug and maintaining a common nuisance and driving while his driver's license was suspended.

Officers stopped Schaffer on October 9. Schaffer was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear.

Officers found drugs in his vehicle which lead officers securing a warrant for his home, where officers found marijuana plants behind Schaffer's garage.

Schaffer is facing two counts of possession of a synthetic drug, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of maintaining a common nuisance, possession of marijuana.

Sheriff Newlon say officers also seized several guns from Schaffer's home.
