Two Cited Into Court To Face Drug Charges

(BEDFORD) - Two people were cited into court after a Bedford Police officers found them with marijuana.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, an officer was on routine patrol on Denson Avenue when he noticed a vehicle in the loop near the shelter house at Wilson Park.

"The officer approached the vehicle to inform the occupants the park was closed and they would have to move on," Parsley added. "That is when he smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana."

Both occupants of the vehicle, 18-year-old Abigal Granger and 18-year-old Clayton Brown, both of Springville, admitted to having marijuana. Police located a small bag of the drug, smoking devices, a small grinder and rolling papers.

"The officer called both of their parents and they were both cited to appear in court," Parsley added.
