Two Arrested After Police Find Drugs, Stolen Vehicles

(BEDFORD) - Two people were arrested after Lawrence County Police received a tip of a strong chemical odor coming from the 500 block of Duncan Bend Lane.

The Lawrence County Drug Task Force responded and found 38-year-old Benjamin Bracewell at the residence. He told detectives that he had smelled the same odor and had heard people walking in the woods near his home.

Officers searched the wooded area and found a stolen Buell motorcycle and a stolen ATV and 2011 Chevrolet Malibu.

The motorcycle and ATV thefts had been reported to the Lawrence County Police Department. The Chevrolet had been reported stolen from Yorktown.

Detectives secured a search warrant for the home and inside found a shotgun, a small amount of meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. They also found items used to make the drug.

Police arrested Bracewell and Sylvia Flowers, who was found inside the home.

Bracewell, of Norman, is facing charges of possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, possession of meth with a firearm, possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture meth, possession of marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.

26-year-old Flowers is facing charges of possession of meth with a firearm, possession of meth, possession of precursors with intent to manufacture meth, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance and possession of paraphernalia, wanted on a warrant for parole violation.

Bracewell is being held in the Lawrence County jail with his bond set at $50,000. Flowers is being held without bond.
