Trick-Or-Treat Hours And Halloween Events

(UNDATED) - Ghosts and goblins trick-or-treating have been set.

The following list of area trick-or-treat hours will be updated as more information become available. If you would like to include an additional Halloween event, send the information to wbiwnews@gmail.com.

Trick-or-Treat Hours:

Bedford

The City of Bedford will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for One Night Only!

Bloomington

City of Bloomington Trick-Or-Treat hours for 2015 have been set for Saturday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. In the case of inclement weather, updates on the status of Trick-or-Treat day and hours will be given through local media, the city's Web site and the city's social media.

Treats at Crane

Caring for Kids of Lawrence County and Crane Federal Credit Union are joining forces to offer safe trick-or-treating from 6-8 p.m. on Friday at 1201 James Ave.

Bliss Place treats

Bliss Place, 3008 Shawnee Drive, will offer trick-or-treat hours from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday.

Halloween Spook Walk

The Orleans Kiwanis Club will host its annual Halloween Spook Walk at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday in the Orleans Town Park. All ghosts, goblins and costumed trick-or-treaters are welcome to participate. Following the Spook Walk there will be games, face-painting and drawings for those through the sixth grade. Carve, paint or decorate a pumpkin to enter in the pumpkin contest (all ages eligible). In case of rain, the event will move to the Orleans Elementary School gym.

Orleans Fire Department

Orleans Municipal Fire Department, 161 E. Price Ave., will offering trick or treating from 6-9 p.m on Saturday. Parents are encouraged to bring their little ghosts and goblins to the fire station for safe trick or treating.

White River Lodge

White River Lodge on Kenny Simpson Lane will offer trick-or-treat hours from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday.

Bloomfield

Bloomfield Trick-Or-Treat hours will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on both Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. Residents are asked to only go to homes that have their porch lights on.

Loogootee

The City of Loogootee's Trick-Or-Treat night has been set for Friday, October 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Trick-or-treat will not be held on Halloween night due to the volleyball semi-state that will be held in Loogootee on Saturday, October 31. The city's Halloween parade will take place on Friday at 5 p.m., beginning on the square and ending at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Medora

Medora Trick-Or-Treat hours will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 31. One night only.

Mitchell

The city of Mitchell will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for One Night Only!

The annual One Stop Safe Trick or Treating event will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at Hatfield Elementary School. Parents can bring children, ages birth through 12, during those hours to "trick or treat" in a safe environment. The program is sponsored by the Mitchell-Grissom Kiwanis Club, but relies heavily on local donors to provide the candy each fall.

Halloween on Main Street, sponsored each year by the Greater Mitchell Chamber of Commerce and organized by Vicky Schlegel, will take place from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 31. Children are invited to dress up in costume and trick or treat at businesses in downtown Mitchell. A list of available trick-or-treating sites will be posted and sent home with elementary-age students.

• Mitchell Manor, on Teke Burton Drive, invites children to stop by from 6-7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 to trick or treat through its facility.

Oolitic

The town of Oolitic will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for One Night Only!

Orleans

The town of Orleans will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for One Night Only! Residents who wish to welcome the little ghosts and goblins should turn their outside porch or patio lights on.

Paoli

The town of Paoli will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. till 9 p.m. for One Night Only!

Shoals

Shoals will hold Trick-Or-Treat on Friday, October 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for One Night Only!

Halloween Events

Oolitic Haunted School

Oolitic Haunted School Five Nights of Fright will be Oct. 30, 31 from 7 p.m. till midnight.

Haunted talk

The Lawrence County Museum of History will stage its annual historic walk at Spring Mill State Park. The walk will be Friday and will begin at the Grist Mill in the Pioneer Village. There will be an historic walk, light supper and a haunted talk. Call (812) 278-8575 for tickets and information.

Salem's Haunted Night at the Museum

The Halloween event planned at the John Hay Center, involving numerous groups, has been changed due to the weather forecast. The new date for the event will be Friday, Oct. 30., from 6-7:30 p.m. Come out and join the fun at the annual City of Salem Parks and Recreation Haunted Night at the Museum, The event is held in the Pioneer VIllage behind the Stevens Memorial Museum on East Market Street in Salem. The village will be transformed into a spooky area for children of all ages and filled with activities for the family, featuring free caramel corn, hot dogs, trick or treat bags, cider, candy and other activities only the spirits know about! There will also be Line Dancing With Sharon Lamb And Others. A "Spookier" area is planned for the older kids this year behind the museum. You never know who may be lurking around for a "haunting" experience. The event is sponsored by the volunteers from the John Hay Center, Salem Public Library, Salem Parks and Recreation Department, City Fire & Police Department, The Pollock Family, Salem Rotary, Tri Kappa, WSLM RADIO and WRLW TV, Prevent Child Abuse Council, PACT, Soar, Meadow View Health and Rehab, Washington County Sheriff's Department, Kirk Elliott along with Boy Scouts, Salem Moose Lodge, Washington County 4-H and Scotty's Sanitation.

Bedford Public Library: Book Character Day

Tuesday, October 27 - See library staff dressed as book characters. Join the fun by dressing as your own book character.

Crossroads Kids Ministry Halloween Alternative

On Wednesday, October 28 at 7 p.m., something big is happening in the Crossroads Sports Center. Kids you will not want to miss this fun-filled Halloween Alternative.

Safe Night Trick Or Treat
The Lawrence County Fair Board will host a "Safe Night Trick or Treat" from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds. Businesses/organizations interested in participating should contact Pam Wessel at (812) 545-9526.

Trunk or Treat Safe Night & Costume Contest

Hosted by Springville Cub Scout Pack 343. The event will be held on Oct. 30, from 7 p.m. till 9 p.m. at the Springville Community Park Circle in Springville.

Pleasant Run Volunteer Fire Department Safe Treat Night

Pleasant Run VFD Safe Treat Night is on Friday, October 30 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Heltonville Fire Station. There will be games, treats and prizes.

Super Oldies Super Treat Night

Super Oldies Super Treat Night will be on Saturday, October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County. Join Super Oldies 105.5 WQRK for a spooktacular good time at the frightfully fun Halloween party. Moonlite monsters will not have to stand outside in lines to attend the free event. There will be a free snack zone with Applacres apple cider and free cookies from Magic Morning Bakery and Sweet Cakes. Goblins can visit more than 20 vendor booths for free goodies. There will be a costume contest and free photo opportunities. It will be a scary good time for the entire family.

SlimeFest

Saturday, October 31 from 8 p.m. till 10 p.m. at the First Baptist Church at 1515 20th St., There will be games bouncy house, candy, refreshments and fun!

Mitchell Opera House Halloween Event

The Mitchell Opera House will host a free Halloween event on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 1p.m. The movie "Hotel Transylvania" will be shown. The staff ask that those attending bring a canned food to be donated to a local food pantry. There will be a costume contest and each child will be given treats to take home. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No tickets are necessary. Doors open at 12:15 p.m. first come first serve
