Night Out With Orleans Police Set For Friday Night

(ORLEANS) - Orleans area residents are being invited to join the Orleans Police Department along the Orleans Fire Department Friday for a night of fun, games and food.

Also invited to participate is the Orange County Sheriff Department and the IU Health Paoli Ambulance Service.

Jefferson Street between Maple and Second streets will be closed between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. for the event.

The festivities begin at 5 p.m. and will run till 8 p.m. so bring the whole family out to meet your public safety professionals.

Officers will be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs and other goodies will be available.

There will be a corn hole contest for different age groups, a bike safety course for youngsters to take their bikes through and the Sheriff's Department will have their peddle cart course setup with drunk goggles to simulate driving under the influence.

Police and fire and an ambulance will be on display.

Officers will also be handing out materials regarding a neighborhood watch program to see how much interest there is in starting a town-wide watch program.
