(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested after he allegedly kicked his pregnant wife in the stomach Wednesday afternoon.
According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, officers were called to a home at 2:47 p.m. in the 280 block of Mounce Road after a domestic fight.
When police arrived they found 48-year-old Kelly Duncan outside of the home and detained him while they investigated the incident.
During their investigation Duncan admitted to kicking his pregnant wife in the stomach.
First responders from both Marion and Huron Volunteer Fire Department and a Seals ambulance were on the scene.
The woman refused to go to the hospital, but told rescue workers she would go see her doctor.
