Man Dies After Struck By Semitrailer While Crosing I-65

(SEYMOUR) - A 52-year-old man crossing Interstate 65 at Seymour died Saturday when he was struck by a semitrailer.

The accident was reported at 3:18 a.m.

According to a Jackson County Police report, John Wade Adams of Seymour was thrown more than 100 feet after being struck by a 2012 Volvo semitrailer being driven by 53-year-old Sead Hadziefendic of Louisville, Kentucky.

Adams landed over the cable barrier on the northbound side of the median.

Family members told police Adams was walking back to his residence at the Days Inn after getting money from a family member who works at Aisin Manufacturing about two miles from the crash site.
