Last updated on Monday, October 19, 2015

(BEDFORD) - A West Baden man was arrested after he allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck and dragged her across the carpet and ripping off her shirt.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were called at 3:40 p.m. Sunday to the 3100 block of Ted Jones Drive after a report of a physical domestic fight.

When police arrived they found a woman with a swollen lip, an abrasion on her forehead and red marks on her neck and face.

The woman refused to give police a statement on what happened, but witnesses told police 26-year-old Brandon Taylor of West Baden had grabbed the woman by the arm and threw her to the ground. He then grabbed her again and dragged her across the carpet, ripping off her shirt.

That is when the witnesses called police.

Taylor was arrested on charges of domestic battery, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.

Police found Fentanyl patches and a smoking pipe in Taylor's pocket.
