Man Sentenced To 9 Years In Prison For Dealing Meth

(BEDFORD) - Nicholas J. Lindsey was sentenced to 9 years in prison on two felony counts of dealing in meth.

Lawrence County Superior Court I Judge Michael Robbins ordered the sentences to run concurrently. He also suspended two years to supervised probation and allowed 125 days in credit for time Lindsey already served in jail.

Lindsey pleaded guilty to the two counts of dealing in meth in exchange the court dismissed charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession or use of a legend drug, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Judge Robbins stipulated that Lindsey, upon his release from the Department of Corrections, would be referred to the ADAPT drug abuse prevention program.

Lindsey was arrested in July after officers witnessed him dealing meth during two controlled buys. After the controlled buy, Lindsey was pulled over at 10th and N streets. Police searched the vehicle and found about half a gram of meth, a schedule II controlled substance, a schedule IV controlled substance, a legend drug and a glass smoking device.
