Last updated on Friday, October 23, 2015

(GREENE CO.) - While hauling a load of logs, a semi overturned spilling the logs across State Road 43, just south of Washboard Road in eastern Greene County late Tuesday morning.

According to a Greene County Sheriff's report, 35-year-old Henry Knepp of Loogootee was driving a 2005 Peterbilt semi from Loogootee southbound on the highway when the crash occurred at 11:30 a.m.

According to police, Knepp took a left curve too fast, left the west side of the road and overturned. The semi then rolled over and came to a stop on the driver's side, throwing logs down an embankment and onto the roadway.

Knepp, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered minor cuts and scrapes.

The northbound lane of State Road 43 was closed periodically during the cleanup.

Knepp was driving for Graber Transport and they assisted in the cleanup.

Assisting at the scene was Center and Beech Creek Fire Departments.
