(UNDATED) - The Indiana Supreme Court awarded $420,000 in grant money to benefit 9 agencies serving 16 counties for volunteer-based guardianship programs serving seniors and incapacitated adults.
Southern Indiana Adult Guardianship Services which serves Lawrence, Monroe, Orange and Washington Counties $50,000.
The matching grants range from $50,000 for current guardianship programs to $38,500 for new and developing programs.

Under the Supreme Court's Division of State Court Administration, the Adult Guardianship Office was established in 2013 to serve as a resource for courts and the public on issues related to adult guardianship as well as to administer grants to increase the number of volunteer-based guardianship programs. The Adult Guardianship Office is funded by the Indiana General Assembly.
