(BLOOMINGTON) - The I-69 Development Partners Team announces overnight single-lane closures of both the northbound and southbound travel lanes on State Road 37 from Rockport Road to Tapp Road.

Lane closures are necessary to install temporary pavement markings to shift traffic to the outside shoulder and a temporary concrete barrier wall to provide protection for bridge construction at Fullerton Pike.

Work will begin on Wednesday and continue through Friday October 17, weather permitting, and will be completed nightly between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.

Road closures will also be necessary to construct traffic signal modifications on S.R. 37, also between Rockport Road and Tapp Road. The closures should last a maximum of 20 minutes at a time, and will begin on Wednesday October 14, weather permitting. The work will be completed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.

The Team also announces overnight single lane closures along with intermittent road closures on State Road 37 at Kinser Pike. Lane closures on State Road will be required for the entire duration of the beam setting operation. Road closures will be required for a maximum of 20 minutes at a time to set bridge beams for the Kinser Pike Overpass. Closure of the northbound lanes will be on Thursday, October 15 and southbound lanes on Friday October 16, weather permitting and will be completed between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.

There will be intermittent lane closures, with a presence of a flagger, on Old State Road 37 from approximately 0.5 miles south of Indian Creek to Jordan Road. Closures on Old SR 37 will be required to relocate existing utility facilities.

Work will begin today weather permitting, and will continue through mid-December.
