Free Comic Book At Bedford Public Library's ComicFest Saturday

(BEDFORD) - Those that visit the Bedford Public Library during Saturday’s ComicFest will receive a free comic book.

One book will be given to each patron while supplies last. Comics for all ages will be available.

ComicFest helps to promote the digital collection of comic books available through hoopla from the library's website at www.bedlib.org.

Block Party

Katie Zuber of the Lawrence County Purdue Extension Service will host a block party from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Monday in the game room of children and teen Services. Zuber will provide many blocks in all shapes and sizes for children ages 18 months through 8 years and their caregivers for an imaginative learning experience.

Teen Writing Group

The Teen Writing Group will meet at 4 p.m. on Nov. 5. All teens interested in writing are welcome. Refreshments will be served.

Holiday Wreath-Making Workshop

A holiday wreath-making workshop will be Dec. 3 from 4:30-6 p.m. Supplies are provided, but participants must bring 3-6 yards of 2.5-3 inch wide wired ribbon to make a bow. Registration is required and may be done through the events calendar on the library website.

New teen fiction books: "Queen of Shadows" by Sarah J. Maas, "Dead Zone" by Robison Wells, "Salvage" by Alexandra Duncan, "End of Days" by Susan Ee, "The Shepherd's Crown" by Terry Pratchett, "The One Thing" by Marci Lyn Curtis, "The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall" by Katie Alender.
