Dubois Woman Arrested After Driving Drunk And Crashing Vehicle

(DUBOIS CO. ) - Dubois County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 38-year-old Tina Gould,of Dubois after police determined she was driving drunk and crashed her vehicle into a guardrail and then another vehicle Wednesday night.

According to a police report, deputies were called to an accident on State Road 545, just north of Dubois at 5:27 p.m.

Another motorist told police they saw Gould, who was driving a Buick Enclave, traveling south on State Road 545 in the northbound lane and pulled their vehicle to the side of the road to prevent being hit by Gould.

Gould then struck a guardrail on the east side of the road, bounced back onto the roadway and then rear-ended a vehicle driving by 50-year-old Jeffrey Harrison,of Dubois. His Chevrolet Blazer was hit and pushed into a yard along the roadway.

Gould's Buick stopped on the east side of the highway.

Police say Gould failed field sobriety test. She was taken to Memorial Hospital where a blood-alcohol test showed her blood-alcohol level at 0.41 percent.

Gould was arrested on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment and reckless driving, both misdemeanors. According to police, more charges could be pending for Gould.

Assisting at the scene were:Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services, Dubois First Responders, Indiana State Police, and wreckers from Uebelhor and Sons and Dr. Auto's Wrecker Service.
