Daviess Co. Sheriff's Dept. Warns Residents About IRS Scam

(DAVIESS CO.) - The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department says the IRS phone scam is making the rounds again.

The department reports it has received several complaints from people receiving calls from both men and women claiming to be IRS agents.

They say the intended victims owe money and will have them arrested if they don't pay up.

The phone number they are calling from is (425) 312-1790.

Officials say don't give any personal information to these people who admitted to a Daviess Co Sheriff's Deputy over the telephone they are "scammers."
