(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man was injured after he crashed his car into the rear of a logging truck Thursday.

68-year-old Ted M. Kubiniec suffered internal injuries when his 1982 Volvo slammed into the rear of a a 2011 International truck driven by 53-year-old Charles White of Salem.

The accident happened at 1:06 p.m. at State Road 37 and John Williams Boulevard.

Kubiniec was taken by ambulance to Indiana University Health Bedford Hospital.

According to a Bedford Police report, White had stopped at the traffic light with Kubiniec behind him. Kubinec told police he attempted to stop, but his brakes "were making a strange sound" and he couldn't stop the vehicle, forcing it to strike the trailer.

White was not injured during the incident.
