(BEDFORD) - A Bedford teen was injured after a three-vehicle accident at the intersection of Ind. 37 and Old Ind. 37 Saturday night.
According to a Lawrence County Police report, 71-year-old Virginia Elkins of Bloomington was attempted to make a left turn onto Old Ind. 37 and believed she had the green light.
However police say Elkins pulled into the path of an 2007 Toyota Corolla driven by 43-year-old Timothy Ducker of Bloomfield. The collision caused Elkins' vehicle to flip and strike a 2008 Dodge Caravan driven by 37-year-old Joseph Kidwell of Shoals in the passenger side. Kidwell was parked in the left turn lane of Old Ind. 37.
A 15-year-old passenger in Elkins' vehicle suffered a laceration on his lower leg that police say would require sutures.
