Adopt-a-Dog Month At City Of Bloomington Animal Shelter

(BLOOMINGTON) - In recognition of national Adopt-A-Dog Month, the Shelter is promoting dog adoptions with a “Paw-Vengers: Age of Fur-tron” theme and several special events.

Dog adoption fees are reduced to $40 for dogs 5 years old and younger and $20 for dogs 5 years old and up for the entire month of October. All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and spayed or neutered. Normal adoption fees are $75 for dogs younger than 5 years and $55 for those 5 years and older. All dog adopters will also be able to choose a new toy, leash or collar to take home with their new best friend.

Adoptable dogs will make appearances at the following events during the month of October:

In addition to these events, adoptable animals can be visited at the City of Bloomington Animal Shelter, 3410 S. Walnut St., on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays and Saturdays from Noon to 5 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays from Noon to 7 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. till 4 p.m. Adoptable animals also can be seen on the Shelter website at bloomington.in.gov/animalshelter and on the Shelter's Facebook page at facebook.com/COBAnimalShelter.
