Washington Police Need Public's Help Locating Suspect In Stabbing

(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man is recovering after being stabbed in the stomach early Monday morning.

According to Washington Police Chief Mike Healy, officers were notified about the incident at 12:47 a.m. at 1406 Vincennes Avenue.

When officers arrived they found 24-year-old Tyler Nading had been stabbed in the stomach. Nading told police he was walking in the area when someone approached him and stabbed him.

He was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital for treatment.

Officers are looking for someone who was in dark clothing.

They have interviewed some potential witnesses, but need the public's help. Anyone with information about the stabbing or witnessed the incident is asked to call Washington Police.
