(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford women were arrested after they didn’t pay for all their items when checking out at the self-checkout registers at Walmart, Tuesday afternoon.

"Loss Prevention witnessed the women scan some items, but then put other items they had not scanned into their bags," Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley says. "The two were stopped as the exited the store and we were called."

The two women were stopped by Lost Prevention as they exited the store.

Police cited into court 46-year-old Faye Hall and 24-year-old Janice Barlow, both of Bedford, on a charge of theft.

Both women were ordered to appear in Lawrence County Superior Court on September 18.
