Sixth Annual Hope Medora Goes Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Event Oct. 10

(MEDORA) - The Sixth Annual Hope Medora Goes Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Event is October 10.
HOPE has given $24,000 to those affected by all types of cancer that live in Medora and the surrounding counties.
The event will raise funds to purchase gas cards and groceries and provide help in other ways for those who are battling the deadly disease.
Schedule of Events
- 7 a.m. Breakfast 7am Lunch 11am at the Medora Senior Citizens (Main St.)
- 9 a.m. 5K Run/Walk * Timing Company: To The Finish (George St.)
- 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. H & C Amusements (George St.) $8 bracelets - ride all day
- 9 a.m. till 5 p.m. Booths Open Crafts, jewelry and more (Main Street)
- 9 a.m. Volleyball Tournament Competitive Adult Coed(Medora Community School - Gym)
- 9 a.m. Special Recognition - Spirit Award given in honor of the late Leland Bundy Jr.
- 9:30 a.m. HOPE Ambassadors Announced (Stage - Perry St.)
- 10 a.m. till Noon Face Painting and Fingernail Art for the children (George St.) Free /Donation
- 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Carnival Games - Medora Community Schools, Cafeteria
- 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Motorcycles & Rat Bikes Drawing for prizes 12:30 pm (Stage - Main St.) Jackson County Sheriff's Dept. will provide an escort for those wishing to leave at 1 p.m.
- 10 a.m. till 1 p.m. Dirt bikes & 4 Wheelers, ATV Drawing for prizes 12:30 pm (Stage - Main St.)
- 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. Cruise In automobiles (Riley St.) Awards & Prizes
- 10 a.m. till 5 p.m. Food Booths
- Horse Drawn Carriage Rides
- Wagon rides to the Medora Covered Bridge
- Barrel ride for the children
- 10 a.m. Baby, Prince & Princess, King & Queen Contest Medora Christian Church, George St.
- 12:30 p.m. Community Walk and Balloon Launch Sponsored by: Seymour Tubing, Inc. 237 Building, adjacent to the Medora Christian Church
- 1 p.m. Winners Announced: "Be My Support" Bra Contest Sponsored by Mickayla Crane Register 8 a.m. till 9 a.m. at 237 Building
- 9 a.m. till 1 pm 237 Building (George St.) *Silent Auction
- 9 a.m. till 4 p.m. Ribbon Wall Display * Wall of HOPE 237 Building (George St.) Post ribbons, pictures (copies please) and messages under the categories: Survivors, Journey, Gone But Not Forgotten

Health Fair At Schneck Medical Center
Health Fair- 7 a.m. till 11 a.m. at Schneck Medical Center
Schneck Cancer Center will be providing free Osteoporosis Screening - Heel Dexa Scan, Free Cholesterol and blood sugar, Colo Care Kits, Breast Cancer Info, Info on Cancer Center, Vein Center- vein procedure info, self-screen tool.
They will also do a Health Fair Profile: CMP & Lipid Panel. TSH (Thyroid testing) at a discounted rate
