Seymour Man Arrested After Police Find Quarter Pound Of Marijuana

(SEYMOUR) - A traffic stop Thursday evening in the Seymour area led to the discovery of more than a quarter of a pound of marijuana and the arrest of a man.

33-year-old Derrick T. O'Sullivan of Seymour faces a charge of possession of marijuana after the incident that began when Jackson County Officer Mark Holt reported seeing a car being driven 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. That occurred in the 9100 block of U.S. 31 North.

During the stop the officer smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of 130 grams of marijuana, or about a 0.28 pounds.
