(BLOOMINGTON) - The marijuana possession charge against former Indiana University forward Devin Davis was dropped last week, according to court records.

Davis was cited on a Class B misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana under 30 grams after Indiana University Police responded to a complaint of marijuana odor coming from an on-campus apartment at Hickory Hall on May 11.

Officers searched the apartment and found fewer than 30 grams of marijuana in a backpack that belonged to Davis.

Former Hoosier forward Hanner Mosquera-Perea was also in the room according to a release from the IU men's basketball program, but he was not cited. Both players were dismissed three days later. It was the second time each player had been involved in an off-court incident.

Davis did not play last season after suffering a traumatic brain injury on November 1, 2014 after being struck by a car driven by former teammate Emmitt Holt.

Davis transferred to Odessa College in Texas, and Mosquera-Perea transferred to East Tennessee State.
