(BEDFORD) - Tractor Supply Co. and the White River Humane Society is celebrating Pet Appreciation Week on Saturday.
Manager of Tractor Supply Keith Payton says, there's a vast number of healthy dogs and cats just waiting to be adopted, and Pet Appreciation Week is our chance to help these pets find homes.
The adoption event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tractor Supply at 2653 16th St.
Officials hope to match families with great pets and help those families start pet ownership on the right foot -- or paw.
Homeless pets from the White River Humane Society will be included in activities that will feature demonstrations on pet nutrition, drawings for $200 worth of gift cards and giveaways, including a tennis ball and pet food mats (while supplies last).
There will also be information about the importance of spay/neuter and proper pet care.
