Man Injured After Tire Blows On Vehicle

(BEDFORD) - A man was injured after he lost control of his 2008 Ford F-15 when the tire blew out on Bartlettsville Road.

According to Lawrence County Police, 49-year-old Russell Richardson, who told police he was homeless, was traveling south on Bartlettsville Road near the intersection of Wallner Quarry Road when the tire blew on his truck causing him to lose control of the vehicle.

The truck went off the east side of the road, struck several trees, then rolled over and came to a stop upright.

According to the police log, Richardson left the scene and was found riding a bicycle with no shirt or shoes and blood on his face at Ind. 58 at Hillside Estates.

Richardson suffered a head laceration during the incident.
