Madison McNeely Crowned Persimmon Festival Queen

(MITCHELL) - Madison McNeely was crowned the 69th Annual Persimmon Festival Queen, Monday night.

She is the daughter of Jennifer McNeely and Denver McNeely.

Madison, 17, is a senior at Mitchell High School. She is a four-year member of MHS cross country and track teams, Art Club, Student Council, Tri-Hi-Y, French Club and National Honor Society.

In her free time she enjoys reading and painting

After graduation, she plan to attend James Madison University or William and Mary University to go for pre-physicians assistant in dermatology.

Her sponsor is Phi Beta Psi sorority in Mitchell

Twelve young ladies compete for the title.

Taking the title of Miss Congeniality was Mackenzie Jo Osborne, a senior at MHS.

First runner-up was Alannah Zollman, a junior at Bedford North Lawrence High School.

Judges chose four princesses: Christanna Danielle Rayhill-McNeely, a MHS senior; Lauren Woods, a freshman at MHS; Victoria Autrey, a MHS senior; and Kallie Dalheim, a sophomore at MHS.

Shelby Rose Pruett was named Junior Miss Persimmon. She is the daughter of Angela Rose and John Childers. She is a seventh-grader at Mitchell Junior High School.

She was joined in the court by princesses: Dacey Layne Axsom; Hailey Ann Ritchison; Hayden Muriel Dersch, who also was named Miss Congeniality; Jayden Elizabeth Shaff; Madison Danielle Williams; and Trenady Hope Shaw.

Bria Dianne Blackwell, daughter of Kyle and Missy Blackwell, was chosen Little Miss Persimmon. She is a fourth-grader at Needmore Elementary School.

Miss Congeniality was Briley Marie Dicks, and the princesses were: Bella Michelle Morrow; Daisey Eileen Blais; Kathryn Marie Sykes; Madison Elizabeth Hensley; Shelby Leigh Maple; and Taylor Lynn Lee.

Sophia Isabella Grace McCarty was crowned Mini Miss Persimmon. She is the daughter of Jennifer Davis and is a second-grader at Hatfield Elementary School.

Miss Congeniality was Marissa Kayleen Blais, and princesses were: Brenlee Gayle Blackwell; Ellie Grace Maple; Elsi Raelynn Arthur; Jaiven Alexiz Prince; Kenlyn Bridget Craig; and Miley Lynn Teague.
