INDOT To Close U.S. 231 In Martin And Dubois Counties Beginning Today

(MARTIN & DUBOIS CO.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation says due to pipe replacement projects they will be closing U.S. 231 in Martin and Dubois Counties beginning today.

INDOT says beginning at 8 a.m. today, crews will close U.S. 231 from State Road 56 in Haysville to U.S. 50 in Loogootee. Workers will be replacing four culvert pipes and INDOT says the closure will last for approximately five days depending upon weather conditions.US 231 Closing Map

Now during that time, U.S. 231 will be closed to through traffic from 8 am to 5 pm daily, however school traffic will have access to the point of closure in the morning and afternoon. The official detour will be State Road 56 in Jasper to State Road 61, to Interstate 69 To U.S. 50 in Washington.
