Indianapolis Man Injured After Crash On Lincoln Avenue

(BEDFORD) - An Indianapolis man was injured after he crashed his motorcycle on Lincoln Avenue Sunday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police Department, 53-year-old Robert Garrett was turning left from Knucklehead Bend gas station on Lincoln Avenue when drove his 1989 Harley Davidson FXR over a patch of sand causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The vehicle went off the roadway, over an embankment and struck three trees, then ended up in a drainage ditch. The motorcycle ended on top of Garrett.

Garrett complained of right shoulder, right leg and right elbow pain. He was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.

Garrett was cited for failure to provide proof of financial responsibility.

Assisting at the scene was an IU Health Hospital crew.
