(DAVISS CO.) - An Elnora woman was killed in an accident on County Road 900 East, just south of County Road 1400 North Thursday afternoon.
According to a Daviess County Sheriff's Department police report, 73-year-old Patricia Pickett was southbound on 900 East when her car ran off the road, went down an embankment, and struck a tree.
Pickett was pronounced dead at the scene by Daviess County Deputy Coroner Dean Guthrie.
The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting at the scene were Odon Volunteer Fire Department, Southwest Medical Ambulance Service and Indiana State Police.
